Losi LMT Class

2021 Losi LMT Monster Truck Rules & Class Information

The Losi LMT Class was developed in response to the 2021 release of the Losi LMT Monster Truck. This class is intended to allow a driver to utilize the popular aftermarket Losi LMT but with slight modifications, within reason to not radically alter the original design of the vehicle.

  • NOTE:  Aftermarket add-on and/or replacement parts must be approved by TK officials, on a per-item basis.

These rules were decided and voted on by the competition committee and are good for the 2021 Calendar Year.

General/Axles: Factory Losi LMT axles must be used.  Aftermarket strengthening components are legal.  No link mounted shocks.  Shocks MUST be mounted to axles only.

Tires: Any Clodbuster/USA-1 sizes tire is legal.  Any 2.6/3.3 tire designed for Losi LMT are also legal.  Any traction compound and/or any cleaning chemicals are not allowed to be used on tires at any time.

Wheels: Any scale appearing Clod Buster sized monster truck wheel is legal.  Any 2.6/3.3 wheel designed for the Losi LMT is also legal.

Chassis:  Factory Losi LMT chassis much be used.  Season points are tallied with a given chassis.  If chassis is changed during season, points will not transfer.

Wheelbase: Factory Losi LMT wheelbase must be maintained.

Width: No limit.

Motors: 1 motor maximum.

Transmission:  Factory Losi LMT transmission must be used.  Differential oil change be changed.

Driveshafts:  Aftermarket modifications are allowed.

Battery: Single 2S lipo or 7 cell NIMH.  “Cycling” of batteries is prohibited!

Steering: May be 2 or 4WS.  Aftermarket modifications are allowed.

Shocks: Factory Losi LMT shocks must be used.  Shock oil and springs can be changed though.  No link mounted shocks.  Shocks MUST be mounted to axles only.

Suspension:  Factory Losi LMT suspension must be maintained.

Sway Bars:  Factory Losi LMT sway bars must be maintained.

Body: Any body legal. Allowed 1 body/name change per season.  However, a designated concrete/black top body can be run to avoid damaging particular ones, in which case this will not count towards the season name change limit.

Wheelie Bar:  Can be removed.

Electronics:  Aftermarket modifications are allowed.

Limited to 1 truck per person.

This class will be racing only, 2 brackets.

A vehicle run in this class cannot be run in any other class on a given race day.
